The confinement, the free time available and the closed stores have meant that we have changed our habits, including our beauty routine. If that’s the case for you too, we invite you to read and try out these great, easy-to-make recipes! My grandmother always told me: “only put products that you can eat on your face”, in reference to all those not very organic creams, treatments, serums, masks that the advertisements try to sell us. We therefore decided to collect the best recipes to apply and taste on our face for a moment of relaxation and well-being. Here for a little beauty routine:
1 ° Cleanse your face
First of all, we remove make-up and cleanse our face (avoiding the eyes) of the impurities of the day using an oil that we probably all have at home: olive oil! You can use any other oil if you have (coconut, argan, hemp, jojoba, almond).
Apply a little oil to the palm of your hands and warm it up by rubbing them together. Use gentle, circular motions on your face to remove impurities. The oil will wash away all the dirt from the day and leave your skin feeling soft. Once you are done, rinse off with water and a very gentle soap (donkey milk soap or egg soap for example), gently dab your face with a clean, dry towel.
2 ° Peeling and mask for the face
For a more in-depth cleansing and to bring a little hydration and revitalize all this, we will create an exfoliating mask with 4 ingredients found in our kitchen: honey, which will bring shine and softness, cane sugar, which will exfoliate, olive oil, which will moisturize and a lemon which will tighten the pores and give that glow effect. We mix 2 tablespoons of honey, 2 tablespoons of sugar, a little bit of lemon juice and 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a bowl, this will create a kind of homogeneous paste that we will come and apply on your face. Make circular gestures avoiding the eyes, the sugar will eliminate the dead skin, insist on the T zone (forehead, nose, chin) and pass a small stroke on the lips, which will be all soft and without small skin afterwards. Leave on for 10 minutes then rinse off with water.
3 ° The hair
Regarding the hair, we recommend two masks that work very well and that do not leave you with greasy roots. The first is to repair our ends sometimes abused by our daily life, we will come to strengthen and nourish the hair by making it shine! For this you need to mix two egg yolks (we insist on the yolk, because the white will be cooked under the heat of the water), a tablespoon of melted coconut oil and a teaspoon of honey.
For dull hair, this other mask will bring shine, hydration and will illuminate blonde highlights on fair hair. Add two tablespoons of honey, a teaspoon of lemon juice, one to two tablespoons of water if necessary. Apply to the hair and leave for 30 minutes then rinse thoroughly.
4 ° Peeling for the body
If you’re a big fan of Italian coffee, this recipe is for you. Once you have drunk your coffee, collect the cooled grounds and mix it with 3 tablespoons of honey and 3 tablespoons of olive oil. This will create a paste that you will apply all over your body (in the shower, to avoid getting it all over). Make large circular movements with special attention on the thighs, bottom and hips, coffee is a very good anti-cellulite. Rinse thoroughly with water and for the bravest, finish with a jet of cold water to tone the skin and invigorate you!
